Communications Consultant 

Agricorp is looking for a Communications Consultant to join the Corporate and Customer Communications department within the Strategic Management and Communications division. Communications consultants work closely with the different business areas to support corporate projects, business initiatives and organizational changes of interest to internal and external stakeholders.

The Role

Working within a professional communications team, the Communications Consultant will research, plan, write and implement communications plans that directly contribute to achieving Agricorp’s business objectives. In this role you will:

  • Research, plan, write, edit and proofread to ensure that all written and published communications (internal and external) are of a high quality
  • Consult with clients, develop and implement communications plans and solutions that align with communications strategies and business objectives
  • Develop appropriate proactive communication responses for projects and/or established program plans that relate to Agricorp, and make recommendations to management
  • Advise and develop effective communications plans to convey Agricorp messages to our stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Consult with and support Communications team members

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as communications, English,  public relations, journalism or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years’ previous experience in communications; plain language, writing stylistic and structural editing; communications/public relations planning and implementation, and project management
  • Experience with MS Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, Adobe Acrobat
  • Proficiency in French would be an asset
