Senior Quality Advisor

​​​​​Agricorp is looking for a Senior Quality Advisor to join our Quality Assurance and Performance Standards team within the Program Delivery division. This rol​e is accountable for establishing standard operating procedures and measures for Program Delivery, based on best practice financial services framework for complex underwriting, claims, customer accounts and product promotion.

The Role

Working with a dynamic team of professionals, the Senior Quality Advisor will actively participate in issues management, resolution of escalated customer complaints, disputes and appeals. Using program knowledge about AgriStability, Production Insurance and general insurance best practices, you will conduct audits to ensure file documentation is complete, including file preparation for litigation. In conjunction with legal counsel, the incumbent will determine handling strategies on issues and oversee litigation of customer files. In this role you will:

  • Review, manage and audit complex underwriting files to validate adherence to Agricorp's policies and standard operating procedures around risk exposure, premiums, limitations, exclusions, renewals, cancellations, endorsements and updates
  • Review and analyze escalations and appeals related to claims and underwriting decisions that require further investigation
  • Investigate and audit highly complex claim files (both field and desk audits)
  • Consult with internal stakeholders, such as regional services staff, as required to validate complex claims
  • Actively participate, applying effective critical thinking skills to enable a successful outcome, in the resolution of escalated operational issues, customer complaints, disputes and appeals
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports including issues management, customer complaints, disputes amendments and appeals
  • Work with legal counsel on litigation matters for customer files
  • Assess and track the effectiveness of policies and procedures through the use of audits, inspections and surveys
  • Participate in developing and implementing quality assurance standard operating procedures ensuring alignment with divisional plans
  • Develop, generate and distribute trending reports for issues management, customer complaints, disputes amendments and appeals
  • Interface with external parties on appeals and dispute resolution
  • Provide coaching and expertise to individuals within the division on complex claims and underwriting issues

  • Post-secondary education in a related field such as business administration or  economics or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in quality assurance, claims adjudication or a related field
  • Experience in insurance, financial services or agriculture industry preferred
  • Experience in handling complex Production Insurance and AgriStability claims is an asset
  • Experience in conflict resolution or dispute mediation is an asset
  • Strong knowledge of Agricorp programs, particularly Production Insurance, is an asset
