Senior Quality Advisor

​​Agricorp is looking for a Senior Quality Advisor to join our Quality Assurance and Performance Standards team within the Program Delivery division.

The Role

Working with a dynamic team of professionals, the Senior Quality Advisor monitors and manages the review of complex, unique and large claims, underwriting and account files, focusing mainly on Agricorp's Production Insurance program. As well, this role provides support and consulting to the Operations Committee, the Chair of the Operations Committee and its members. In this role, you will:

  • Review, manage and audit complex underwriting files to validate our adherence to Agricorp's policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs)  around risk exposures, premiums, limitations, exclusions, renewals, cancellations, endorsements and updates
  • Consult with internal stakeholders, such as regional services staff, as required to validate complex claims
  • Review and analyze escalations and appeals, related to claims and underwriting decisions that require further investigation
  • Investigate and audit highly complex claim files (both field and desk audits)
  • Prepare detailed reports on audit findings and make recommendations
  • Work with legal counsel on litigation matters for customer files
  • Assess and track the effectiveness of policies and procedures through the use of audits, inspections and surveys
  • Participate in developing and implementing quality assurance standard operating procedures, ensuring alignment with divisional plans
  • Generate, analyze and distribute trending reports
  • Collect highly complex items submitted to the Operations Committee, and assess them from an end-to-end perspective for urgency, quality and completeness, and appropriate stakeholder engagement, highlighting any potential areas of inquiry
  • Actively participate in the resolution of escalated operational issues (e.g., procedural, systems or informational), customer complaints, disputes and appeals, applying effective critical thinking skills to enable a successful outcome
  • Provide coaching and expertise to individuals within the division on complex claims and underwriting issues

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., business administration, economics) or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in quality assurance, claims adjudication or a related field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Experience in handling complex Production Insurance claims an asset
  • Experience in conflict resolution or dispute mediation an asset
  • Strong knowledge of Agricorp programs, particularly Production Insurance, an asset
  • Experience in insurance, financial services or agriculture industry preferred
