Farmers reported online in record numbers

Updated: July 27, 2017 at 3:30 p.m.

After a wetter-than-normal planting season, producers in some parts of the province were left with a small window of time to report their planted acres. Producers responded by reporting online in record numbers. This spring, 3,336 acreage reports were submitted online, which is 200 more than last year.

Reporting online helps all producers

By reporting their Production Insurance acres online, grain and oilseed producers avoid call wait times and can report any day, any time. Reporting online also helps fellow producers by keeping the phone lines open for those who are facing challenges and need to report damage or get help with crop concerns.

Winter wheat producers can report online in September

Producers can also report online for most fall-seeded grain and oilseed crops, such as winter wheat. Online reporting is open for fall-seeded crops from September to November. To easily report acres, there will be a shortcut on agricorp.com.
