Agricorp delivers the Farm Business Registration (FBR) program on behalf of the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.
How FBR information is used
Agricorp compiles your registration information and delivers it to the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA). Your data is used to develop sound public policy for Ontario’s producers.
OMAFRA also notifies the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation about all registered farms each year. Your valid FBR number is one of the requirements for receiving the farm property class tax rate.
Membership in an accredited farm organization (AFO)
With a valid FBR number, you can obtain a membership in one of three accredited farm organizations. You choose your farm organization each year.
You can request a refund from the farm organization that received your registration fee. To receive a refund, your farm must first be registered and your fee must be paid. If you receive a refund, you will still have an FBR number, but you can't use it to obtain a membership.
Two ways to change your AFO
Choosing your AFO is an important part of the Farm Business Registration process. Your current AFO membership choice is indicated on your invoice. There are two ways to change your AFO:
Option 1: Simply call Agricorp at 1-866-327-3678
Option 2: Follow the steps listed below:
- Do not use the envelope we have provided in your registration package.
- Make your cheque payable to your new accredited farm organization:

- National Farmers Union – Ontario (NFU-O)
- Ontario Federation of Agriculture (OFA)
- Mail your cheque and invoice stub to:
