Reporting a complaint
If you want to file a complaint about a grain dealer or elevator operator, call the Grain Financial Protection Program underwriter at 1-888-247-4999 ext. 3949.
We will ask you to send us a written confirmation of your complaint. We will assign an inspector to investigate the complaint.
For defaults on grain dealer payments
Call Agricorp at 1-888-247-4999 to file a claim.
We will send you all required documentation to file a claim. The Grain Financial Protection Board (not Agricorp) administers and adjudicates claims.
For defaults on elevator operator obligations
Call Agricorp at 1-888-247-4999.
The Chief Inspector has the authority to:
- Seize the stored grain and distribute it to the grain owners on a proportionate basis, or
- Sell the stored grain and distribute the proceeds to the grain owners on a proportionate basis
- Use financial security to assist in reimbursing the grain owners.
