2004 Self-Directed Risk Management (SDRM) Program Deadline Fast Approaching
Sep 12 2005
Guelph, ON - Agricorp is pleased to deliver the SDRM program to horticulture producers for the 2003 to 2005 stabilization years. SDRM helps horticulture producers manage risks on their farming operations.
SDRM allows producers to deposit funds into an account and receive an equivalent government contribution. Producers who experience a loss related to their horticulture crops covered by SDRM can withdraw funds, both their own contribution and the government's, to replace lost income.
To be eligible to participate in the SDRM program for the 2004 stabilization year, producers must have completed the following steps by September 30, 2005:
- Secured coverage for the 2004 Canadian Agricultural Income Stabilization (CAIS) program
- Submitted a signed deposit summary form and cheque.
If a producer secured 2004 CAIS coverage and did not receive an application and deposit summary for SDRM, please contact Agricorp at 1-877-838-5144 immediately to begin the application process. Applications and deposits must be submitted to Agricorp no later than September 30, 2005.
