Since 2004, Agricorp has partnered with the Ontario Soybean Growers to deliver the Advance Payments Program (APP). This program, sponsored by Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, guarantees producers access to credit at or after harvest.
The APP helps producers better market their crops by providing loans. These funds enable producers to store their crops after harvest and potentially benefit from better market prices over the course of the season.
The 2006/07 application deadline has passed. Producers are now making repayments as they sell their crop and have until August 31, 2007 to re-pay their advances.
Program changes have been made for the 2007/08 crop year.
