Starting with the 2007 program year, the coverage previously provided by the Canadian Agricultural Income Stabilization (CAIS) program is now available through two programs: AgriInvest and AgriStability.
The CAIS program is built on the philosophy that governments and producers share in the cost of replacing lost income. Program benefits are triggered when the production margin in the program year falls below the reference margin.
