Change Management Specialist

​​Agricorp is looking for a highly experienced Change Management Specialist to join our Guidewire Implementation Team for a 6-month contract. This role reports to the Senior Change Leader and provides support on large initiatives and related projects as required. In this position, you will play a key role focused on the people side of change, including changes to business processes, systems and technology.

The Role

The Change Management Specialist is an integral member of the Guidewire Implementation Team, supporting the Senior Change Leader in identifying opportunities for change management initiatives and integrating change management activities into project plans. In this role, you will:

  • Create and implement change management strategies and monitor the effectiveness of these strategies and plans to maximize employee readiness and adoption
  • Coach, guide and influence stakeholders in the organization, including Senior Management Team, Communications, Human Resources & Organizational Development, and subject matter experts
  • Provide direct support and coaching to managers and team leaders as they help their direct reports through transitions 
  • Lead the planning, development and implementation of complex to highly complex and diverse change initiatives
  • Provide change management expertise to ensure changes align with Agricorp's strategic direction and core qualities and are implemented effectively across the organization, with a focus on an improved customer experience
  • Use standardized methodology for change implementation to provide consistent success
  • Analyse the impact of changes to the day-to-day business operations and factor impacts into the plans
  • Make recommendations to the Senior Change Leader about changes in methodology for effective change management and/or implementation
  • Consult with senior management on change implementation priorities, ensuring consideration of timing, resource requirements, the impact to business operations and customer experience
  • Prioritize changes to meet Agricorp's business needs and expected benefits
  • Lead cross-functional team and use project management expertise to ensure change initiatives are on time, on budget and meet stakeholder expectations
  • Identify and resolve highly complex issues related to project plan management and implementation and escalates issues when appropriate to the Senior Change Leader for resolution
  • Represent the Change Management Team at divisional or organizational meetings when required


  • Post-secondary degree in human resources, business administration or general arts, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 5 years' related work experience required
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in change management and/or project management
  • Progressive experience in supporting a large change initiative required
  • Experience in leading and implementing a large change initiative an asset
  • Experience supporting agile project teams an asset
  • Experience supporting a Guidewire implementation project an asset
  • Experience in the insurance or agricultural sectors an asset

Job status: 6-month contract (with possible extension)
