Human Resources Coordinator

Agricorp is looking for a Human Resources & Organizational Development (HR&OD) Coordinator to join the Human Resources & Organizational Development division. The HR&OD Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring the confidential, accurate and timely administration of Agricorp's HR&OD processes and programs.

The Role

As HR&OD Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and administering initiatives across the division, including but not limited to compensation and benefits, human resources information systems, employee onboarding, and HR records management. This role reports to the Manager, Total Compensation & HR Information Management Services. In this role, you will:

  • Ensure employee records are accurate and complete by updating and maintaining employee information in a human resources information system (HRIS)
  • Provide first-line HRIS support for employees and managers, including generating reports
  • Actively participate in and lead components of onboarding new hires within divisional processes, including providing and presenting information about general payroll processes and learning requirements to support new hire orientation
  • Maintain and enhance tracking tools for HR metrics
  • Provide support to compensation and benefits processes
  • Maintain HR filing, archiving, and retrieval in accordance with standard operating procedures
  • Provide ongoing HR support and resourcing to internal committees, such as the Joint Health & Safety Committee
  • Provide administrative support to the HR&OD team, as required, ensuring the HR office is functioning effectively
  • Participate in departmental and divisional HR project teams and initiatives, as required

Job status: 6-month contract (possible extension)

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in a business-related discipline (human resources preferred) or equivalent experience
  • 2-3 years' experience in a Human Resources office setting
  • Knowledge of Canadian and Ontario labour laws and employment standards
  • Proficiency in the use of relevant software: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
  • Actively seeking or possessing the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation an asset
  • Experience with human resource information systems (HRIS) an asset
