Ministry seeking feedback on FBR

As part of its regular review of programs and legislation, the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Food (OMAF) is reviewing the processes and requirements around the Farm Business Registration (FBR) program. Part of this process includes consulting with producers to get their input. OMAF has posted a consultation document on the Regulatory Registry to give producers an opportunity to comment.

The primary objectives of the review are to determine what changes, if any, are required to the:

  • Accreditation process
  • Eligibility criteria for farm organizations
  • Registration and/or membership, and
  • Regulatory requirements to make them consistent with government policy intentions and current practice.

Producers can submit feedback until September 13, 2013.

Agricorp will continue to work with OMAF on any delivery process changes that result from the review and will make sure producers are informed.
