Unable to plant winter wheat? Contact Agricorp

Customers who were unable to plant some or all of their winter wheat need to call Agricorp right away to keep their Production Insurance and RMP: Grains and Oilseeds coverage active for the 2015 program year.

Even if customers planted zero acres of wheat, they need to report this to Agricorp. By reporting zero acres, the customer maintains active coverage. This ensures they will continue to receive renewals, keep discounts on their account, and remain eligible for RMP: Grains and Oilseeds.

It’s been a difficult season for many farmers across the province. Late spring planting was followed by cooler and wetter than normal weather during the growing season, causing delays in harvest and planting.

Still time to report winter wheat acres without winterkill

Winter wheat may be insured in the spring for all perils except winterkill. Customers can call Agricorp before May 1 to request an inspection to determine eligibility.
