Murray Porteous has been appointed chair of Agricorp's board of directors for a three-year term. Murray is currently a partner in Lingwood Farms Ltd., in Norfolk County. He brings with him extensive industry and governance experience serving as chair of a number of agricultural organizations, including the Ontario Fruit and Vegetable Growers' Association, the Ontario Agricultural Commodity Council, the Canadian Horticultural Council and the Agricultural Research Institute of Ontario. Murray is a graduate of the University of Guelph and holds a B.Sc. (Agr.) in Agricultural Business.
The board would like to congratulate Murray on his appointment. The board also extends their thanks and appreciation for Rod Stork who served as Agricorp's acting chair.
