Updated June 6, 2017 at 1:10 p.m.

Intake is now closed.

Funding for the Marketing and Vineyard Improvement Program (MVIP) has been fully allocated for the 2017-18 and 2018-19 program years. There will be no intake in 2018. Agricorp will contact all applicants to inform them of their status.

Wine grape growers can apply for Ontario's Marketing and Vineyard Improvement Program (MVIP) starting Monday, June 5, at 10:00 a.m. MVIP provides growers with funds to help with the cost of improvements to their production of wine grapes.

To apply for MVIP, producers can download the application now from agricorp.com or contact Agricorp to request a copy. Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until the program is full. Applications will not be accepted prior to 10:00 a.m. on June 5.

The application and details about the program are available at agricorp.com/mvip.

Funding is split between two years, but there is only one intake window. Funds will be offered to eligible applicants based on the date and time their application is received. The first group of applicants will be offered funding for 2017-18 and the next group will be offered funding for 2018-19. All applicants will be informed of their status when the intake closes.

Intake moved to help producers

The intake date was originally scheduled for May 30, but was moved because some producers were having technical difficulties opening the application. The date change allowed Agricorp to provide assistance and alternate formats of the application. Changing the intake date does not affect funding; it simply allows everyone equal access to the funding. Producers with questions can contact Agricorp at 1-888-247-4999.
