Eligible Ontario VQA wineries, small cideries, and small distilleries will soon start getting their program payments more often, giving them greater flexibility to plan and manage their cashflow.
The changes below will start with the 2025-26 program year.
VQA Wine Support Program
Payments for the
VQA Wine Support Program will be:
- paid on a
quarterly basis throughout the year, instead of annually
- calculated using sales data from April 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026

program guidelines are available on agricorp.com. Agricorp will email application packages to eligible wineries the week of September 29, 2025.
Small Cidery and Small Distillery Programs
Payments for the
Small Cidery and
Small Distillery Programs will be:
- paid on a
semi-annual basis throughout the year, instead of annually
- calculated using 2025 sales data
Full program guidelines will be available on agricorp.com, and Agricorp will email application packages to eligible cideries and distilleries, by November.
These changes are designed to strengthen support for Ontario's wine, cider, and distillery sectors by improving cashflow and aligning payments more closely with customer needs.
