AgriStability interim payments mean cash flow sooner

November 30, 2022

AgriStability customers who need cash flow now don’t have to wait for their year-end forms to be processed to get a payment. To get part of their final payment in advance, they can submit a 2022 interim payment application form before December 31.

Interim payments are 50% of any estimated final payment. This year, beekeepers and poultry farmers may also get an increased AgriStability interim payment of 75%.

Any farmer who has completed 6 months of their fiscal year can apply for an AgriStability interim payment before their fiscal year-end.

So far in 2022, more than $3.2 million in AgriStability interim payments have been made in Ontario.

About AgriStability

Some years can be more difficult than others. Challenges happen. It could be unpredictable weather, plant or animal disease, market disruptions or increased costs. When farmers face disasters, AgriStability offers support to protect the bottom line.

If a farm’s income falls below 70% of their recent average net income (their reference margin), AgriStability helps to offset the difference.

If customers have any questions about AgriStability or interim payments, they can contact Agricorp.
