How an above average yield affects your coverage
Your average farm yield is calculated using your actual reported yields. Above-average yields, like those reported in 2024 and 2025, can have a positive impact on your Production Insurance—providing you with higher coverage when you need it most. Higher coverage means more protection from yield reductions and crop losses caused by factors beyond a farmer's control, including adverse weather and other natural perils.
