Under the Protecting Farmers from Non-Payment Act, beef cattle sellers need to promptly notify the Director about the following situations:
- They were not paid by the buyer based on the payment timeline.
- If payment was not made according to the timeline, you can make a claim. See Make a claim.
- They are aware of a dealer who is operating without a licence.
- They believe that a licensed dealer is no longer operating or has filed for bankruptcy.
If any of these situations occur, report a complaint to the Director by contacting Agricorp.
