If you have questions or concerns about your eligibility for the Farm Property Class Tax Rate Program, also known as the "Farm Tax Program," please contact us. An Agricorp specialist will attempt to resolve your concerns. If you disagree with the decision, you may submit a written request for reconsideration.
The deadline to submit the request for reconsideration is printed on your Property Assessment Notice from the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC), but will be on or around March 31 each year. If you have misplaced your Property Assessment Notice, please call MPAC at 1-866-296-6722, where one of their customer service representatives can assist you.
Note for 2020: There has been a recent extension of the suspension of limitation periods through a regulatory update that impacts Request for Reconsideration (RfR) deadlines. The limitations period was extended to September 14, 2020. As the deadline to file an RfR is 16 days after the emergency declaration is lifted, the 2020 RfR filing deadline is September 30, 2020.
In your request for reconsideration, include your property roll number(s), why you disagree with this decision, and information supporting your property's eligibility for the Farm Tax Program, including any new information and supporting documentation.

If you are not satisfied with the outcome of your request for reconsideration, you have 90 days from the date of the letter sent to you to submit an appeal to the Assessment Review Board (ARB) of Environment and Land Tribunals Ontario.
