Licensing fees for grain dealers and elevator operators

- Less than 25,000 tonnes: $300
- 25,000 tonnes or greater: $450

Shortfall permit
Elevator operators who think they will be in a shortfall position must apply for a permit.
To get a shortfall permit, elevator operators must:
- Pay a $300 fee
- Provide financial security in the form of a letter of credit for the full value of the grain shortfall
Offsite storage permit
Elevator operators who want to store grains and oilseeds at a premises that has not been identified upon application or renewal must first notify the Director.
